Dies macht Safran zu einem äußerst relevanten Produkt für die moderne Gesundheitsversorgung.
Studien bei Depressionen und anderen Stimmungsstörungen wurden mit Dosen durchgeführt, die meist 30 mg Safran entsprechen.
Die Anwendung von Safran bei Kindern wurde nur in wenigen klinischen Studien untersucht. Die Dosierungen liegen je nach Anwendung zwischen 18 und 30 mg pro Tag.
